Principal's Message

The staff and I welcome each of you to the 2022/23 school year.  It is clear that Santiago Hills is a great example of what can happen when educators, parents and the community work together in the best interest of children.  For our students and families that are new to Santiago Hills, I personally welcome you and together we will be starting the year together in much the same way… as new to this school community.  For those who have been here last year, I know we can’t wait to meet all of you.

Last year when I had the opportunity to visit the students and staff it was so clear that there is tremendous pride in this special place we call our neighborhood school.  Both students and staff were, and continue to be, so eager to share with me why they love Santiago Hills so much.  I have no doubt that when we all work together, we can bring out the best in one another and in all of our students.  We are a school family that believes in being Ready, Respectful, and Responsible.

As stated, this will be my first year at Santiago Hills and I couldn’t be more excited.  Each time I pull up to the school I get a sense of excitement and I want the same for all of you.  I often say, “Together, we can make great things happen.”  I can’t wait to see all of the things we will accomplish this year as individuals, as grade levels, and of course as a school. We will be a community of learners who care for ourselves and one another.   On behalf of the entire Santiago Hills Elementary School staff, we thank you for all that you do.  We look forward to continuing to make great things happen and making the most of every day.

Please know my door is always open and if ever you have any questions, please reach out.  This is going to be an amazing school year thanks to all of you and thanks for welcoming me to Santiago Hills.

Sincerely,
Thomas Potwora
